The vibe was so peaceful from the sound of the river adjacent to the property to the yoga deck for doing yoga or hanging out in a hammock. The location in Dos Brazos is a little off the beaten path, but a great sleepy little village with access to great hiking trails and Rio Tigre. Can’t recommend enough!

Guests can make use of a garden. My girlfriend and me had three wonderful days here. This cute little hut is located right in the cozy village of Doz Brazos. Nature is all around around you: If you like that (and don’t mind seeing one or the other bug), you’ll love this place. Animals we saw and heard were chickens, cows, lots of cute dogs and even a Tucan in the distance! And regularly, some hummingbirds visited us while we had breakfast on the terrace. The house itself has a kitchen and a semi-open structure. The walls for example don’t go all the way up, which probably helped the airflow & was the reason why we could sleep without a fan. There were fans in our bedroom & the main room. Our bedroom was lockable from the inside, the other bedroom had a curtain instead of a door, but that would’ve been fine for us as well. Honestly speaking, we were a bit skeptical upon our arrival. But this skepticism quickly went away due to these factors: First of all, because of our hosts. The family lives right next to the hut and was super welcoming, nice and helpful. During our first breakfast, they even brought us a nice welcoming snack! With all the kindness, they still left us plenty of privacy. Another reason were our temporary “flatmates“, another couple that came for a day and moved into the room with the curtain. They were very kind as well & we had some nice conversations on the terrace. Last but definitely not least is the initial reason why we booked this place: Access to the Bolita rainforest trails. Since the owners work at the Bolita rainforest hostel, free access (without any guides) to these beautiful hiking trails through the jungle was granted. Though I imagine, we would’ve seen more animals if we had an Costa Rican with eagle eyes with us! Luckily, Carlos, one of the owners, offers guidance (only Spanish though). Very soon, we felt very comfortable and happy to be in such a remote, authentic & beautiful place (just check out the garden photos!) with so many nice people.

The units provide views of the garden and come with a seating area, a washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, and a private bathroom with free toiletries. A stovetop and kitchenware are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the homestay, all units come with bed linen and towels. A lovely little resort with a large covered area with kitchen, tables, overhead fans, hammocks and BBQ. Plunge pool was great for cooling off after a hot hike. Room was simply furnished, with a wall of open shelves that were perfect for clothes, food or other items. Bathroom is nicely finished. I was especially happy with the large sink with plug where I could easily handwash a few items. This is the kind of place where you can stay for a few days just to unwind and enjoy nature and birds all around you. We had our own car which made it easy to access. Bring all your groceries with you as there is nothing nearby! Kitchen is well stocked with cookware. A little inconvenient to carry non refrigerated food prep items back and forth from our room (about 20 m walk on a gravel path).

Excellent, attentive host; the place is a heaven for nature lovers - located near the Corcovado NP with park trails nearby. The property is well-maintained, clean, the gardens are amazing and full of birds. We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin: the bedroom with queen bed is air-conditioned, the second bedroom is not, but it was not too hot (end of December). Wifi works everywhere. Fully-equipped kitchen. Amazing value for money!

The rooms include a patio with garden views. The owner, Zuley, was so friendly and helpful. The hammocks outside were very relaxing and a good fully equiped kitchen to use. Rooms were comfortable and parking was secure on-site. I would recommend the La Sirena trip with her son-in-law Kirley.

Located in Dos Brazos, Los Mineros Guesthouse features a fitness centre and a garden. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Suzanna and Chani were amazing! They were both extremely welcoming and helpful! Staying at Los Mineros was my favourite part of my trip to Costa Rica. The guesthouse is surrounded by nature and you see all kinds of wildlife. It’s a perfect place to recharge. Chani is a great guide and showed me beautiful places in the jungle and numerous animals. I feel very fortunate to have found this guesthouse!

The guest house has family rooms. Paola is a great host and gave us tips of things to do in the area. The kitchen was well equipped and the hostel is just a few minutes walk from the beach.
