Absolutely recommended. Outside the tourist areas this small hotel is in a safe part of tiny Santa Maria, close to the beach and also the city centre. We had the roof top room with a kitchenette (with everything.... even oven, dishwasher, freezer etc) and for our needs on this trip, it was the best hotel room I have ever had, it felt private with its own part of the terrace behind a little gate and had lots of Light and views in all four directions. Staff is wonderful and professional and cares for every guest taking an interest and trying to adapt to their specific needs. They arranged taxis (same price as if you book yourself) and we also had a good car rental experience through the hotel. Their recommendation with regards to local restaurants were perfect. Will return asap.

Most things in the room seem new and the staff is very kind. The location is excellent, close to the bus stop and supermarkets and restaurants, in the heart of authentic Espargos. We had a fantastic holiday and the accommodation was perfect for us.
It was close to all amenities, 5 minutes walk from the centre and about 5 minutes from the beach, it was also cleaned everyday.
Leila at the reception was brilliant, very informative and helped us book all the trips and activities for the whole week, she was a great help.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Roof, it was the perfect base to explore the town and a great alternative to a resort-style all inclusive, which isn’t really our thing. It is very well located and everything is easily reached on foot - the beach is two minutes walk away. The roof terrace is lovely and secluded, and the small pool is great for those wanting a break from the beach. Everything in the apartment was quite new and the beds were really comfy, with great air conditioning and a small kitchenette, should you need it. There are lots of plugs in the apartment, and we also had a small balcony. JC, the owner, is an incredible host and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect - a 10/10. He organised any trips we wanted to do, and was always immediately contactable. Nothing was too much trouble, he’s a very helpful guy and it was nice to see an owner who takes a lot of pride in their property and guests’ experience. Due to our room being empty the next day, we were also given the benefit of a later check out to meet our flight time, which was hugely appreciated. Merci pour ce super séjour!

Katila's Room was perfect for our 2 week stay. You have everything you need. The service was friendly at all times. Sergio the dog is also an alert dog. When we will be Santa Maria.
