Edson our driver was the best :-) always on time, waiting for us to take photos and even doing short hikes with us to make sure that we dont get lost, we can highly recommend his services if you are staying in the hotel. all staff was super nice and helpful, the hotel owner who we called before our trip as we had so many questions, ladies in the restaurant, the young man who was in charge after the owner left (sorry forgot the name!) who gave us so many excellent tips for hiking and who would always come to talk to us on the terrace to see if we had any questions. frankly, it deserves more than a 10!

The staff was really nice and Judith helped out in organising a taxi from Porto Novo to the hotel, including an amazing tour through the island. Also we had a great time with Ivone who prepared very nice vegan breakfast. The hotel has a great terrace with a stunning view and the location is very nice.

At the guest house, each unit includes bed linen and towels. I travelled around and this is the best place I have stayed on the whole island! The owners make this place a gem, they created a warm local atmosphere and give special care to everything! They even helped me to find my next accommodation when I couldn’t find any. The room feels luxurious and the breakfast and dinner are both delicious. The location gives easy access to other places with the colectivo and a nice refreshing swim at the natural pools right in front. The view from the (very spacious) terrace was incredible. Bonus points for being able to use the laundry machine!

Good access for a walk to Cova de Paul. Easy walking distance to Pombas . Very clean / great breakfasts and friendly staff and host / highly recommended.

Pedra de Rala is located on the beachfront in Porto Novo. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. When staying at Pedra de Rala, guests can use private entrance. Very friendly and very helpful and welcoming. Elho (I can't spell his name), the son of the owner was especially helpful. They also heated up my beans I bought from the shop and gave me onions and a delicious piece of cake with cream. They didn't have to do this and this shows how kind and welcoming they are. Thank you for a great time!

The guest house offers mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. Great location in this cute town - next to some nice places to eat and with views of the mountains and coast. Also in a good location to do the hike to Fontanillas. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the area is quiet at night - with the window open you can hear the sea. Also, a lovely breakfast.

Casa Santa Barbara Deluxe is situated in Ribeira Grande and has a private pool and pool views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms. The pool and gardin are super nice. Location is perfect close to the city but not at a very busy place. Breakfast is perfect. Personnel is very friendly but they dont speak English.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Nice place with friendly staff. No air-conditioning but still cool by leaving windows open, with the downside being outside noise and a couple of streetlights lighting the room somewhat.
