Unser Urlaub in der Old School war sehr schön! Das Zimmer war gross, ruhig und vom Bett aus hatten wir eine tolle Sicht auf die Bäume, den gefrorenen See und den Himmel. Auch hat uns das Frühstück immer sehr geschmeckt und die ganze Unterkunft war gemütlich eingerichtet. Viktor und Pauline haben an alle Details gedacht und waren sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Wir würden die Old School jederzeit weiterempfehlen! Wir hoffen, dass wir zurückkommen können :)

Everything was just amazing! If you enjoy spending some time away from resorts and the city rush, if you like the silence and beauty of nature, this is the place for you! Quite place with traditional Finnish bath and sauna (Amazing!). I had the cabin that was located 2-3min walking in the woods, separated from the main buildings, making your own heating with firewood, relaxing at candle light, watching the aurora borealis from complete darkness (depending on the weather, I was lucky and had clear night sky), it was just amazing!! I forgot to mention the host! A very nice person, very helpful, I appreciate everything, starting with the messages before arriving, pre heating the cabin, all the info about the area and the busses at leaving, there would be so much more to say.. Thank you for the experience, I hope next year I can visit again!

Die Unterkunft Room The Northern Oasis ist gelegen in Rovaniemi, 8,2 km von Santa Park, 10 km von Weihnachtsmanndorf und 10 km von Weihnachtsmanndorf - Hauptpostamt entfernt. We had an exceptional stay at Saris (and her sons) place. She is renting out two rooms in her really big and cozy apartment. Both, the apartment and room are super clean. Sari provides room towels, bath ropes and a hair dryer. Breakfast is included, which means in this case that you have access to a fridge with multiple options for a simple but good breakfast, including vegetables and fruits. You can also make some coffee or tea. The kitchen is very well equipped and you're able to use it freely and cook something for dinner yourself. Sari is really kind, patient, always eager to assist and answers all your questions. Additionally she provides great inside tips on tours and places in Rovaniemi. Her welcoming atmosphere lets you truly feel at home. Even though the apartment is not in the middle of the city center you can walk there easily or use the buses which leave at a 3 minute walking distance from the house. We can most definitely recommend staying with Sari and are looking forward to staying at her place again when we come back!

The room is really spacious, with all you need. If you arrive early enough you can use the sauna, kitchen is huge. The only thing that could be unpleasant is that you can't access the toilet directly from your room. Anyway the family is super nice and for me was not a problem at all.
