Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to all my friends.

I truly recommend to book the night within the national park where you will have the opportunity to observe adult turtles laying eggs on the beach at night and at sunset you will release newborn turtles from previous nests. There is a great turtle conservation project in here and it is worth to contribute to it. Lastly, the host, guides and rangers truly care about this park and supporting local populations, this is a must-to-visit place!

By far the best place to stay in Banguwangi. I am going to come back in May and stay longer. The host was so sweet and the food they offered was so tasty. Do yourself a favor and stay with them. They even offer mount ijen tours straight from the homestay. The location was good and the wifi was the best in all of Indonesia. I rate wifi based on how many videos I can upload to my GoPro account. In a matter of a few hours I was able to upload 57 videos!

Staying at Banana Homestay was a great decision! We arrived at around 3am in the morning, but the check-in was super smooth because Fryda contacted me before and thoroughly explained everything to me. The room was quite small but cozy and had everything we needed. Fryda also helped us book the Mt. Ijen tour, she was very helpful and kind. One of the best things about staying here was definitely the breakfast! Delicious tea with a sandwich, a plate of fruit, and always some fresh pastry! The doughnuts were the BEST doughnuts we've ever had, honestly! On our last day, the lady cook was kind enough to make doughnuts for us again after she realized how much we liked them. Place is super nice and cozy. There isn't any hot water but that wasn't a problem given how hot it was. I definitely recommend staying here, there was nothing we didn't like! Plus, the kitties there are super cute as well~Thanks for having us (:
