As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and well taken care of.

Everything was great about Marina Homestay and ended up staying for many days. It’s a nice place in a spacious open field, though the most impressive thing was the staff and owners they are an inspirational family and I felt warmly welcomed which was a delightful surprise. There was group from Thailand staying there who were also very friendly and welcoming too which all contributed to my stay and wholesome experience of Bodh Gaya after 20 years since my first visit there… Marina home stay is a little away from the main Maha Bodhi temple but this means that it’s a quiet peaceful place and there are some local temples close by like the 21 Tara Devi temple which is exquisite. So really Marina home stay was perfect for me and well recommended. Thank you 👁️🙏👁️

Set in Gaya, 15 km from Mahabodhi Temple and 5.9 km from Vishnupad Temple, K D Homestay offers spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The property is enormous. The rooms and balcony are very spacious. Both the rooms have working A/C. Hot water system available 24 hrs. The access to the property is separate. The property was spotlessly clean and insect-free. There is a lot of legroom. The hosts were friendly, helped us book early morning auto rickshaws, and were knowledgeable about our general inquiries. We took our elderly mum with us, who needed special help occasionally, and they were very forthcoming and helpful. Thanks, Dimpy for being such a wonderful host.

If you want to experience the local culture while supporting a good cause, this is the place to do so! We felt very welcome in the family and as we visited during the festival we got taken along to all the ceremonies the festival entails. This was a truly unique experience which we are very happy to have been a part of. Furthermore the guesthouse is next to the school it supports so you can easily pay a visit there too. The place is just outside of town, so this gives some peace from the busy city. But it can be reached easily by tuktuk (although you might need to help a bit with the navigation) from the temple area of bodh gaya. The guesthouse serves a simple but delicious breakfast and dinner as well as an assortment of hot drinks. Beds are basic but comfortable, so is the shower with reliable hot water. The guesthouse can also arrange other touristic excursions or transportation with a good driver and comfortable car. They are however not the cheapest option in this category.

I am so glad I found this place! This place is definitely worth its price. It is close to the Mahabodi, restaurants and shops. It has hot water (not just luke warm like in some other places I stayed in Bodhgaya), comfortable beds and is reasonably quiet. I truly felt the warm and welcoming spirit of the Dwarka Home Stay, thanks to Monu. He is the heart and soul of the place, always taking great care of all the guests. He paid special attention to me when I faced a series of challenges (luggage lost by airline and problems with booking a plane) during my stay. Monu was supportive, made countless phone calls, and provided assistance whenever I needed it. I am so grateful to Him and the wonderful team here. Their hospitality made my stay truly memorable, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring and comforting environment. Thank you for everything!
