If you are not too tired and have a few minutes to spare, I recommend you read "The Story of the House" (it had no title, so the name is not real). The owner was more than dedicated when she shared details about both the history of the house and the family, but also small details about Icelandic life. Haukaberg House is one of the places where we would return with the greatest pleasure.

Heated towel rack, radiators and hair dryer. Small mini fridge was handy. Restaurant food was ok and the buffet breakfast was plentiful. Best complimentary buffet we came across. Staff were friendly and accommodating and communication was excellent. I had messaged through booking site to reserve for dinner and the response was within minutes! Beds were comfortable and we had a great quiet sleep.
