The dorms and facilities were clean, and I had a very comfortable stay here for 3 nights. There was an air humidifier in the dorm to combat the seasonal dry air. I found it easy to reach other sights by walking as well, such as Matsuyama castle and Ishiteji temple.

The Ryokan itself is traditional, yet the facilities are new and clean, which is really as best as it can get - you get to enjoy the beautiful traditional Japanese architecture and Ryokan experience without having to compromise on having new toilets (totto, of course) and a new, clean shower room. The home-made washoku breakfast was delicious, so was the coffee. The staff were so helpful, nice and welcoming, and I had a great time eating dinner while talking. Do note that this Ryokan doesn't have restaurants nearby, and it gets pretty dark, so make sure to get yourself a bento at the konbini or supermarket before arriving! (They do remind you in the booking messages and description) For those who want a comfortable experience at a traditional old running Ryokan, this is definitely the place!!
