Nice hostel in a quieter location. It is 20 min by train from Kinosaki Onsen and 30 min from beaches. Meg is a great host.
The hotel was beautiful, my wife and I booked the room with a private outdoor onsen and it was amazing. The town is beautiful and the staff and locals were so nice.
Nice interior room design Friendly and helpful staff The homestay do provides kimono rental for all the guests with free of charge. The room comes with free towel and pair of Japanese shocks. Simple breakfast served for individual.
The onsen experience was really good. It was a little daunting as the boys and my daughter hadn't been before, but it wasn't hard to work things out. It is however, primarily for and used by locals. The twin share room was a good size, although priced to match.
Great breakfast.& Dinner experience. A good location once you sorted out transport to and from...The hotel really needs to give good directions from the JR station-the change of trains & how to get to hotel from the local train stop..as initially its all very complicated. The staff in the restaurant were superb, & the food was good! We met some locals in a lunchtime restaurant who told us about the famous castle in a town 20 mins away by train...this was worth the experience. Amazing!
Takashi was a great host who made me feel like family at Bookstore Ichi. He had plenty of recommendations, great stories from growing up in the area, and was really helpful whenever I needed anything. Bookstore Ichi is more than just a place to stay - Takashi cultivates a warm community and welcomes you into it. My room was clean, spacious, well kept, and the balcony view was nice for mornings. I liked sleeping with the windows open and found the town to be calm and restful.
A fantastic old house with a lovely host. Would definitely come back here.
We had a great stay. Yuko is such a great host, friendly. She helped us out with getting around and made a very tasty breakfast, can highly recommend that. You can borrow bikes and it is a peaceful place to enjoy after being to the onsens in Kinosaki Onsen.
Many utilities and accommodations available, great atmosphere, and great hosts. It was a very homey place to stay and it lived up to the reviews I saw on Google.
