Everything was exceptionally clean and well-kept, making it both authentic and comfortable. Kimika was an amazing host—thoughtful, welcoming, and full of great energy. The decor in the house is very nice, and the view from the house is stunning as well. In the common room, Kimika also thoughtfully provided delicious local coffee and tea from Yakushima, which added an extra touch of warmth and hospitality. The kitchen also has everything you need. The house is very close to Isso beach, which is a great place to see the sunset. This is the perfect place to unwind and connect with the beauty of Yakushima, and also connect with the locals. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience on this magical island.

The accommodation is air conditioned and is fitted with a hot tub. The guest house has family rooms. The hospitality was impeccable. The host was always available for everything. Probably witnessed the peak of Japanese culture (with people being helpful in every way possible) here. The host (without even us asking him for anything) found that our shoes were wet after a trek put them for drying (on a drying machine) only for us to find the shoes all dried up the next day. Unbelievable. The location is walkable from the port and has house had everything you’d need. The kitchen and the shower was equipped with everything that you’d need during your stay. The house was small but very clean. Would highly recommend.

This guest house has a garden and free private parking. The guest house features family rooms. We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.
