Communication was pretty well. If you are foreigner, come here and you will feel relieved. Basic facilities are all available. Clean and comfortable! They have a big public office space, you can use it if you works while traveling.

Die Unterkunft Nanauraso bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Sado. This is 100% the most memorable accommodation I’ve stayed at in Japan so far, out of two trips. The host is kind, the food is incredibly good and generous portions. Great ryokan experience. ❤️ The bathrooms and bath (onsen-style) are shared, but were always well cleaned. It’s a small ryokan, so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic in these areas anyway. The bath was very relaxing. Most rooms are traditional tatami. There is parking in front of the building if you rent a car visiting Sado Island (which I heavily recommend). I would want to come back to Nanauraso when I come back to Sado.

The house is located about 40min away in car from the port in a remote and quiet area which is super nice to rest. The staff was very enthusiastic and was kind enough to wait for me when I got slightly lost in car. The house was spotless and very pretty. Mind that there is nothing to eat around the area so buy or eat in advance. Overall a very great place!
