Nous sommes arrivés par bus un peu après 16h, nous avions averti notre hôte, et avons eu la surprise de la voir arriver à l'arrêt de bus pour nous accueillir. C'est une Guesthouse assez simple, qui ne manque toutefois pas de charmes. Les chambres sont jolies et confortables, l'ambiance agréable et le petit-déjeuner sain, préparé des petites mains de notre hôte attentive. Salle de douches et toilettes sont propres et sentent bon. Le propriétaire est charmante, gentille, souriante et attentive. Elle aime ce qu'elle fait et c'est très communicatif. Nous avons énormément apprécié son contact! Nous avons suivi la recommandation de notre charmante logeuse, qui nous montrait le restaurant du coin, qui sert entre autre de la viande d'ours. Nous y avons passé une excellente soirée dans une ambiance conviviale entre voyageurs et gens du coin. Nous sommes partis avec l'envie d'y revenir des que nous en aurons l'occasion. Un gigantesque merci!

My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.

Beautiful little house, very spacious for two people and good value. Our host Mizuho was extremely helpful with information, leaving us little surprise snacks and even driving us to Toyama station when we checked out. The house is 15-20 minutes way from the main cbd/Toyama Station, so you need to get a local bus if you don’t have a car. But there are helpful instructions at the property, and we found it a bit of an adventure to catch the bus. Also you get lovely views of the mountains when walking in the neighbourhood, which you don’t get in the cbd. Also recommend the Yakatori restaurant near the house. Cosy vibe and delicious food.

The apartment was very spacious and beautifully designed. Our host was fabolous and even opened his bar for us although no other guests were there at that time. He even organised us tickets for a train ride and made a reservation at an izakaya in the neighborhood. Thank you very much for having us!
