We initially planned to stay in the bungalow for just two nights, but after spending only a couple of hours there, we realized that two nights wouldn't be enough, so we ended up staying the entire weekend. It turned out to be the best getaway of our lives, far away from the hustle and bustle of noisy, big cities, surrounded by nature. The friendly staff welcomed us with fresh fruits, and they continued to bring fruits every time we dined at the restaurant. The food they prepared was incredibly delicious; we ate exclusively there! The day before our trip, an a/c gave me a cold, and I arrived with a terrible cough. The staff brought me hot water with ginger and honey several times a day, such caring attention that pleasantly surprised me. They literally cured my cough; a huge thank you! And the icing on the cake is the cat that lives on the premises. He became so attached to us, spending entire days with us and even sleeping at night. An unexpected dose of feline therapy, just what we needed! The hospitality and service were outstanding; we enjoyed it immensely. It was hard to leave, and we really hope to come back for a longer stay someday. Words cannot express how satisfied and grateful we truly are. P.S.: Also, just a 15-minute drive away, there's a wonderful spa (Nibi Spa) with a eucalyptus sauna and one of the best massages I've ever had. Highly recommend a visit.

Absolute cleanliness and silence. Great beds and mattresses on which we slept like in a fairy tale. This is the best place to stay in Kampot. The street with cafes is only 500 meters away.

We had a great time in Kampot. The guesthouse was quiet and comfortable. Nice room and super nice Service. The Service was so sweet and friendly and polite. We can only recommend staying there. We liked our room and the breakfast :) Thank You for everything

This place is truly an oasis and the hospitality of Dany is extraordinary. We loved the nature, the spacious bungalow with the nice terrace and the cats. Thank you for the perfect service and the organisation of transport to our next locations.

We have been backpack travelling for over 40 years to see, to experience, to learn, to understand, to meet new people....we have always tried to stay in guesthouses as the closer contact with the owners contributed to making our days feel more special, helped us organize our arrivals and departures, our tours or personal explorations of the area, and sometimes even helped us find solutions to minor or major problems....Most of all our experiences in homestays have been great but some have been absolutely unforgettable. Fish Island Bungalows is one if them.This homestay is what hospitality is all about! M. Leng and his wife are the perfect hosts: both absolutely genuine, honest, and caring...wonderfull positive energy flowing in the surroundings, between the guests and with the owners...It really felt like home andc we undoubtedly will come back....

Very spacious room, it's nice to have the bed on the mezzanine and a living room with a table and comfortable chairs. We felt right at home with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking. Our hosts are very helpful. Very quiet place, green and well located in town. I highly recommend.

We have spent 11 amazing days at Baksaei and we had a wonderful time! The location is absolutely stunning within a rice field surrounded by beautiful views of mountains, greenery and village-life atmosphere. The bonus is that you are still a short tuk-tuk ride into town, so very convenient too as you can keep the balance of being in the country side but very close to everything that the town has to offer. The house is clean, spacious and very very well equipped. We have been travelling and working remotely for a few years now and I can say that this place is a great combination of comfort, security, amenities and relaxation. This means that you can easily work from the house (great Wi-Fi and comfortable working spaces), relax on the balcony reading, practicing yoga or just watching the view or chill at the pool watching sunset and birds, cook your own meals at fully-fully equipped kitchen or order food from Grab if you feel like it- we even had 2 BBQs during our stay. It is very quiet around and we slept so well during our entire stay- huge surprise was how breezy it was even during May as we could sleep with windows open and no AC was needed even though available! Meghan, the host, is such a kind and open hearted person who is so passionate about her place and full heartedly dedicated to offer the most complete experience and make sure that nothing is missing- she had done such an amazing job making the place truly comfortable and achieving this sense of chill that we are all looking for. It was hard to leave and we could stay much longer but we already had a whole plan in place so would probably be back again. We stayed as a couple and recommend it for any individual, couple or family who are seeking peace, quiet, relaxion and connection to the country side. The bed was the best I’ve slept in whilst in Asia. My Unit and Pool was clean. The TV was a novelty. The location quiet, and less than 1km stroll to some great restaurants and supermarket. Hired a motorbike from the home stay for two days and went to Climbodia, the la plantation pepper farm, and also to the local national park. The owner was super friendly, helpful and kind, and the kids were lovely and sweet to have around.

Excellent service, central location, early check-in and the people who run it are gorgeous. Have extended and will probably do so again
