They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

Location was well out of the way with an amazing lake within a few minutes walk with trials to walk also bit perfect for Wilpattu national park. Food was really nice and the room had everything you could need.

You can take a nice stroll next to the lake from here as well. The hosts are very inviting and make it feel like a home stay. Dinner is served at the cabin and its decent quality and a reasonable price. Ask for pancakes at breakfast, they are really good.

While I was being very ill the family went out all the way to take care of me or to drive me to the hospital.. It was just too kind. Another big thank you here for all their help. I can't describe how grateful we are and how happy we are that we stayed at their place.

Mr Kalhara is very kind and thoughtful, it was pleasant to stay in his house! Breakfast was very good! Room is super clean. Big bed , clean bedclothes, normally working ac and fan, good hot water! Best recommendations, just book and stay here if it's possible🙂

From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the wonderful breakfast selection – it was simply delicious and had something for everyone. The staff is incredible – so friendly, helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the hotel is top-notch, and you can tell that great attention is paid to every detail. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of service and comfort provided. Everything was just perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough! Truly an unforgettable experience.

Kids loved playing in the garden, on the big rock in front of the guesthouse and of course with they friend: daughter Oleena. Good value/money. Cannot recommend this enough! The home cooked dinner and breakfast was DELICIOUS and can highly recommend the tuk tuk adventure to see Mihintele at sunset 🏔️🙂
