Hemaka is truly the kindest person in the world – he welcomed us with cake and a mojito, always smiling, helpful, and so polite. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him! The highlight was the owner and his incredible hospitality. He went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay. We had both breakfast and dinner here, and dinner was truly a special experience. He shared his unique way of preparing fried rice and gave us deeper insight into Sri Lankan culture and cuisine. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to stay here!

This homestay features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The homestay has family rooms. I had an excellent stay at Serene homestay. Sri and his family were very caring and made sure that I was comfortable and had all I needed. The room is spacious with balcony and attached bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Sri picked me up from the station, helped with sightseeing arrangements, train ticket and patiently answered the many questions I had regarding onward travel within Sri Lanka. Breakfast was awesome – a different spread each day – all of which were delicious! I would definitely stay here if I were to visit Kandy again. Thank you, Sri! (and family…you are awesome too!)
