Our host was very nice and helpful. He arranged the rental of bicycles to visit the temple, he gave us information to take the bus and good advice to find local restaurants. The location is very convenient, close to shops, restaurants and now far from the temples. The room was very clean and quiet. We thank you for the very nice stay :)

Loved the attention and care given. Loved the meals would like to thank Sanka and his wife for their hospitality. Also the little cat that kept us company. And the excellent birdwatching and boat ride. They accommodated my friends fasting times and woke up early to make her breakfast and take us out also arranged all our transport in the city and to sigriya.

Binara and his wife are perfect hosts, I felt fully supported and safe with them. I loved their home cooked meals! The accommodation with a peaceful environment, huge garden is enchanting, quiet, comfortable also close to the ancient ruins and the magical lake. Boat tour on the lake by Nimal is highly recommended, one of my best experience here in Sri Lanka.

Staying at Aruna Home Stay in Polonnaruwa was by far the best experience I had with local people during my trip in Sri Lanka. Mom and daughter were incredibly kind, always smiling, and genuinely helpful, making me feel like part of their family from the very first moment. What really made the difference was the warm hospitality: sharing meals, stories, and local advice gave me the chance to experience authentic Sri Lankan culture in a way that no hotel could offer. The location is also great, close to the ancient city and easy to reach by bike or tuk-tuk. I only had one night here but I loved this place. I was given a welcome drink, the room was spotlessly clean, the shower was fantastic, the TV worked, and the bed and pillow were the most comfortable I've had in Sri Lanka. Amazing value for money.

I got to spend a day at green garden homestay with very good care. I am very happy about it. The food and room facilities were very good. I got to experience a very free environment specially with a canal. Nilu worked very closely with us. I am thankful for that. The jeep safari was also very good. I also liked the boat safari very much. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. A very good, loving and strong woman. I recommend everyone to come and enjoy your free time.

Comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Very kind and friendly host who was easy to communicate with prior to arrival. Option to have dinner at the property, which was very yummy. Delicious Sri Lanka breakfast.
