Peace Homestay checked all the boxes.As I am also working, Nir offered to provide a table and chair for me to be able to work from inside my room.I also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner experience; it felt like home.I definitely recommend everyone to stay there while in Kathmandu.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The best homestay I've ever stayed in.. Prem and his family are the greatest people I've met in Nepal ( and I mean it!!). You will have an opportunity to stay with many locals and share about their culture. A lot of cute kids were always playing around, so the place was really lively. The food was excellent and the room & bathroom were sparkling clean! The village of Namobuddha is very authentic and the scenery stunning. If you're lucky enough, you will also have the opportunity to meet Ian who lives there and runs a charity association to provide water pipelines for remote villages. Trust me, go there ...that's the kind of place you will never forget.

The accommodation offers private check-in and check-out, and currency exchange for guests. Our window view was of a temple, and you are literally two blocks from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The room had charging plugs right near the bed, and each room is its own floor so the bathroom — adjacent — is private. There is a water dispenser and a kettle on each floor as well. Bobby suggested that we use the roof are to dry clothes, but he also provides a clothespin rack inside (it’s monsoon season). Bobby was super helpful — met me at the airport, showed us where to change money, helped us buy umbrellas, booked our Tourist bus to Pokhara, arranged for a taxi pickup, and each was a value-for-money experience. He let us store our luggage for our days away for a small fee. The room is only fan-cooled, but I’d gladly put up with the “a little steamy” for the location and the support.

The property has quiet street views and is 200 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. This is a house of a local family, so it’s a best way to stay here and get the most of local life. I spent a whole week here for the Nepali new year and had several Newari dinner meals with the host’s family (include a new year feast). I learned to properly eat with my hand. And I appreciate they changed the food every day a bit when I said I like to try more kinds of local food. The rooptop is the best place to have a full view of the Dubar Square and valley, I really enjoyed to stay up there every morning and night, so peaceful and chill. During the festival, the host provided all the infos about when and where to see the celebrations and even show me around, tell stories about Bhaktapur and the festival. It’s the place I would like to come back one day.

It is set 20 km from Pashupatinath and offers bicycle parking. Free private parking is available and the homestay also provides car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. We stayed three nights and were surprised about the quietness, the good food, the view, and the friendlyness of the owners. We highly recommend staying and would come back any time. It is better to stay here then in Nagarkot. In the morning you can see sometimes monkeys while enjoying delicious breakfast. We went for good hikes and enjoyed the nature around. The rooms are big with big windows to see the birds and squirells. Kessab is a fantastic cook and very accomodating. Thank you so much for having us!

Their house is very warm and had friendly vibes and the room I stayed in was exceptionally clean and had everything one could ask for. Definatly would recomed it to anyone travelling to Thamel, specially lady solo travellers.
