She provided me with great ideas and suggestions, i.e. the photo below was taken at her suggested ‘place to go for great sunsets’ (and cocktails!). She even offered to take me to the airport. I’d suggest renting her car, as the accommodation is located in a quiet neighborhood, up a hill, not within walking distance to restaurants.

The host is a lovely, adorable and warm person. We stayed for two weeks in French Polynesia and in some fancy hotels. However, this place was by far the best in terms of feeling welcome and feeling the warmth of Polynesian people. The bungalow is super clean, modern and has a range of cooking facilities. The host prepared us some wonderful dinner for a very reasonable price that we enjoyed with a most beautiful view of Papeete. The host also picked us up at the airport and dropped us off again in the middle of the night for our flight home. It was just the perfect way of finishing our holiday.

Tamanu Lodge is a great property located very close to the airport! It is also close to a shopping mall and restaurants. The room was very clean, big and had all necessary equipment for a comfortable stay. The owner Vanina is an amazing person with a very generous and kind heart. She will make you feel at home and comfortable, make sure to chat with her! I’ll definitely be back on my next Tahiti trip!

Great apartment/room, very friendly host, great value for money, comfortable and has a little kitchenette. We rented the car from the location (reserved in advance) and everything was super smooth and easy. There is a great little restaurant walking distance away - and the nearby beach is really good for snorkeling. Papeete is an easy 20 minute drive away (though avoid rush hour!)

Ingrid was amazing - our flight into Tahiti was delayed by 3 hours and she was attentive to the schedule to be able to come and pick us up that night, and then took us back in the middle of the night to have enough time to check in for our flight out at 3 am. The room was very homey and clean, and the perfect place to stop! Ingrid also gave us some local food recommendations and had tea, coffee, cold water, and fresh fruit stocked for us in the room, which was great after a long day of travel.

Martine is a great host, she gave me tons of recommendations and valuable information. She even helped get a car rental. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom too. The breakfast was lovely, I recommend this guesthouse.
