The location could not be better – easy parking right by the property, just a pleasant stroll into town, perfectly situated for exploring the entire island, and conveniently close to a large supermarket. We always felt completely safe here, which added so much peace of mind to our holiday. The cleanliness is simply impeccable – everything spotless and fresh, every day. The entire place is beautifully organized, with a layout that makes it feel both spacious and homely. The kitchen is especially well thought out: each room has its own assigned table, cupboard, and set of plates, utensils, and cooking items, which keeps things wonderfully neat and easy for everyone. And then there is Catarina – what a host! She is truly the heart of this place. Warm, sincere, and full of genuine care, she puts her soul into making her guests feel welcome and valued. She visits daily to tidy and refresh the common areas, replace the flowers, and, more often than not, surprise guests with delicious homemade or local treats. She is thoughtful, adaptable, and always ready to help – whether it’s offering great local tips or simply checking in via message to see if we needed anything. We felt so looked after and appreciated her kindness enormously. The property itself feels like a peaceful haven – quiet, comfortable, and infused with warmth and charm. Everything here has been designed with the guest’s comfort in mind, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into it. We travel often, but this stay will remain a highlight for us. If you’re looking for a spotless, perfectly located, safe, and beautifully run accommodation with a host who truly cares, look no further – this is the place! We would return in a heartbeat.

We are first time visitors to the Azores and everything about Solar dos Cantos we was a delight. The building and grounds were beautiful. The staff were wonderful, warm, welcoming and delighted to answer questions, offer services and suggestions, invite us to enjoy the evening fire, recommend activities etc. we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our time at Solar Dos Cantos.

Staying here is an experience: the decor is outstanding, and whole vibe of the house is nice! They prepared breakfast earlier for us knowing we had to leave early for scuba diving, which was a very kind and made our day!

Es war alles top, die Lage ist super und die ganze Unterkunft ist richtig gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist so toll! Vor allem Daniel war so nett und zuvorkommend und hat uns ( wegen eines persönlichen Vorfalls) mit allen Kräften unterstützt und 100% Verständnis gezeigt! Ich würde diese Unterkunft immer weiter empfehlen!!

It was a pleasure to stay in his house and he gave us a very good recommendations on where to go and we had nice conversations. Apartment is comfortable and has everything we needed, even separate fridge which is very helpful. I also like tropical shower, I just love it :) Very clean, a lot of towels, comfortable bed, separate bathroom, separate entrance. Highly recommended place. And location is very good for going around
