Wonderful location! Just 2 blocks inland from the waterfront, we could be to the main attractions in 5 minutes. We didn’t rent a car, so a hotel in easy walking distance was fantastic. The hotel is very nice. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was included, which was a nice perk. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our inquiries.

A beautiful place with a very nice garden and freezing pool :) easy to relax sitting in the chair or lying in the hammock, since it is further from the main road, it is also quiet Lovely staff, we talked mostly with Rubina (?) always with a smile, although she was probably quite busy Tasty breakfast Very nice room with amazing view of the surrounding mountains (1st floor), the whole house is very nice, bright and maintained Welcome drink (Madeira wine) and a tasty cake (forgot to ask for the name, it was not pastel nata) Would definitely come back someday!

Host was really clear in the instructions and willing to help with anything we needed. The house is really spacious and clearly well taken care of. The hot tub is a nice touch. The shower was perfect. We want to mention how grateful we are for the flexibility of our host, with a special request of ours... It really helped us out when we needed it. Would recommend this place to stay at. Kitchen well equipped, coffee machine was nice, fridge was nice and big.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. The apartment is located in very nice and quiet place. Is was very close to supermarket and bakery. The place was very clean and tidy, the recommendations of restaurants were very good and the communication with host very easy and kind.

Horizon Retreat in Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with an infinity pool and a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The homestay provides a fitness room and a shared kitchen. Absolutely recommendable! A superbly located, very clean, and well-maintained accommodation. The rooms offer everything you need, especially the terrace and pool, which are very nice and offer breathtaking views. Above all, we'd like to highlight our hosts, Alan and Josephine: super friendly and accommodating, they provide many great tips for the area, and they were very helpful when we had a problem with our car. They had a very well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed for cooking and a space in the fridge to store the food. The place has a nice view of the ocean and a common place to sit around and chill. The room was clean and tidy. They have shared bathroom supplies if needed. My partner and I enjoyed the stay with them and they were helpful with a few requests we had. Thank you
