We stayed here for just one night with our family, and it was absolutely amazing. The house is both incredibly comfortable and beautifully authentic. It’s decorated in a charming rustic style while offering all the modern comforts. The bathtub was fantastic, and the shower was excellent. Despite the cold weather outside, the house was warm and cozy thanks to the well-functioning heating system and fireplace. The floors were a bit cool, but the bedrooms were perfectly warm, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was excellent, and the surrounding area is breathtaking. Patricia, who welcomed and took care of us, was incredibly kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side, so we couldn’t enjoy all the amenities like the pool and jacuzzi, but we would love to return in warmer weather to fully experience everything this place has to offer. The location is truly magical—completely secluded, surrounded by stunning nature, with a small river nearby, grazing sheep, lush greenery, and mountains in the background. Absolute peace and beauty.

Located in the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, this 19th century building of granite stone offers traditional rooms with balconies. Casa do Pastor has a lounge area with a fireplace and barbecue facilities. What a wonderful little paradise in the mountains. I especially recommend it if you love dogs. The view is amazing, they have nice relaxation areas and a great breakfast with an amazing view. Everyone was so nice. Also having our laundry done was so welcome. I can only recommend it.

The rooms of Descanso Serrano are decorated with neutral colours and wooden floors. All rooms have heating, a TV and a private bathroom. An amazing fireplace kept us warm on cold evenings — we spent all our time in front of it. The hostess (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name) was kind and welcoming, and helped us with everything we needed. There’s also a large parking area, so no need to worry about that. I recommend to try goat cheese at the breakfast.
