It was the perfect place to use as a launching pad to explore various ancient cities in the area (Ephesus,Kusadashi,Magnesium by the Maender,Miletus, Priene,Pamukkale). What was truly special about the Ionia Guest House however, were the hosts Jason and Shiree. It is obvious that this is their passion as their only goal was to see to, and attend to their guests’ every need. They were helpful, friendly, and wore their hearts on their sleeves. They went above and beyond in helping us sort out any problems we encountered and will always be thankful. The room was spacious and clean and the swimming pool was wonderful at the end of a hot day. Breakfast and dinner meals were fabulous with tasty food and big portions. They also had a laundry service for a very reasonable rate where they charged by the load and not by the item. The Ionian Guest House is a place we will always remember fondly.

Wonderful stay with Cem and his wife. Both are genuine, compassionate people. Best breakfast during our whole Turkiye trip. Gorgeous old stone house and courtyard with colorful flowers set on a hillside with a view of the entire valley below. Nearby ruins of Priene and Miletus were very cool, and the local abandoned church and restaurant with live music felt truly authentic in this small town. Centrally located between Ephesus and Bodrum made for easy day trips to both. Highly recommend 👌

The location is perfect to visit Ephesus, the amazing museum and explore Selcuk city center, trying out several local restaurants, all providing extremely terrific food!

Amazon Antiques is a wonderful gem in the friendly town of Selcuk. The garden is wonderful and well maintained, and provides a lovely peaceful, relaxing place to sit and have breakfast. Breakfast is included, it is typical Turkish plate, delicious and plentiful and the staff are super attentive, always filling up you coffee and tea cups. Pamuk the cat is often found reclining on the grass or a comfy seat somewhere which was a highlight for us. The staff were the overwhelming positive of Amazon Antique: Baris (the manager), Dudu the lady who works on a morning and cleans the rooms and Kubilay (the night manager) are all wonderfully helpful and kind people. Present 24 hours should you need them. They offered us advice on transport, restaurants, activities and even helped us by calling ahead to out next accommodation when we were having difficulties getting hold of them. The location of Amazon Antique is perfect, it is quiet and away from the centre of town but still walkable to most attractions and the centre, inc supermarkets and banks. It is an ideal base for anyone wishing to visit Ephesus, which is walkable (approx 3km - mostly flat, path and tarmac road) but it is also a short walk to the bus station where the local buses are cheap, frequent and reliable. Buses run regularly to most places and can be paid in cash to the driver. It is close proximity to the Basilica of St John (walkable in 5 mins) and to the town centre (10 mins) for shopping and many many restaurants.

The location is so easy for wandering around Ayvalik without a car. The breakfasts were delicious! This was our first Turkish breakfast experience, and it wasn't until we had traveled around Turkiye and experienced breakfast at other guest houses that we realized how delicious our first was at Hanole Macron Guest House! The ingredients are fresh and the food varied! Other places after that just didn't measure up. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The host was always very responsive, before and during our stay. We appreciated the communication and tips. We felt very welcome, comfortable, and cared for here! We would recommend this guest house when staying in Ayvalik!
