Housed in a historic building registered by Taipei City Government, a few steps away from Dihua Street, OrigInn Space is a place full of nostalgic atmosphere, old story, 60s - 70s Nordic furniture and music. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. The location is perfect to get immersed into one of the more historic quarters of Taipei. Dihua street is 3 minutes by foot, Ningxia night market is about 5-10 minutes by foot. Ximending can be reached in 10 minutes by foot. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the space itself is very clean and beautifully decorated. 24/7 stores are closeby, so if you need something to drink at night, it is also no problem. Also the area is very well connected to the bus system, so getting around is no prolem at all. I especially recommend just walking north from the hotel until you reach the confucius temple (~45 min.) to get a perfect view of iconic Taipei.

The units in the homestay are equipped with a flat-screen TV and slippers. The owner is very nice but this place was terrible value. My girlfriend's friend stayed in a hotel room at Lihu nearby rated 6.6 but was way better than this, and for 1/3 the price. Frankly, I was embarrassed to bring someone here. The building sucks and the bathroom is uncomfortable. I'm giving a thigh rating of 7 to this place because the host was super nice.

I agree 100% with the owner of the hostel that this view is the most precious special view of Taipei City ! I sat there on hostel’s specially-designed meeting room of 3-level platform a lot of the time, just staring quietly at that gorgeous view while school-day happy memories walking along that main road passing the old post office kept flooding back onto my mind’s screen ! 4. Cozy comfy capsule bed. 5. Very well-equipped kitchen with fridge / freezer, microwave oven, toaster, and all gadgets, cutlery, and crockery you need. 5. Lovely breakfast buffet very lovingly personally prepared by our Mr owner of the hostel ! And much more !!!
