I love everything about the property, very close to the village where you can find supermarket, restaurants, and any other kind of tour that I was looking for. 1min walking to the beach , not packed beach and with very chilled vibes, perfect for couples and families. The rooms are beautiful and comfortables, details oriented. Pool just for us anytime we wanted , and the fact that they don’t do the cleaning everyday for the climate impact we found it very ecological and nice, something that we appreciate.

This guest house features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. Crazy man is such a generous person. Throughout our stay, we felt like his goal was not to make money out of us, but simply to make sure we had the best possible experience in Nungwi. For instance, he offers very cheap snorkeling tours, free laundry services, cheap drinks (cheapest we've had in Tanzania), etc. He also cooked for some of the guests. The breakfast was awesome! I know that many comments mention that the hostel is far from the beach, but we actually appreciated this. If you stay close to the beach, you only see tourist resorts. Walking 20 minutes to the beach every day allowed us to experience a more local side to Nungwi too. Overall, this was one of our best accommodations in Tanzania! Thank you Crazy man!

We arrived at Mama Ruth’s with a small group of friends, and from the very beginning, we were taken in by the peaceful surroundings. It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind. If you’re planning to explore other areas, you’ll definitely need to take a taxi, as it’s almost impossible to get anywhere on foot. That didn’t bother us at all – taxis were easy to find, and we were able to visit many beautiful spots nearby. The rooms are on the smaller side, especially if you’re traveling with large suitcases – there’s not a lot of space for luggage. However, everything else was truly wonderful. We added breakfast, lunch, and dinner to our stay, and every meal was delicious – freshly prepared and full of flavor. One of the best parts is that the villa is located right by the sea – there are no streets or obstacles between you and the water. Just step outside and you’re on the beach. The owners live on-site, are incredibly kind, and go out of their way to assist guests with anything they need. It’s a place full of warmth, hospitality, and genuine care – we would absolutely recommend staying here!

Set in Jambiani, in the middle of a local village , Zanzistar Lodge boasts a sun terrace with outdoor pool and is located just a short stroll away from the beach.

The rooms feature trendy and minimalistic design and the beds are draped with a mosquito net. There is a safety deposit box and the private bathrooms are fitted with a shower. We enjoyed every moment in Zanzistar ☀️ all employees were so nice, helpful and supportive. We loved the area, people, food ... Simply everything. Peter helped us with tours, mainly organized by Kacho and his team. Kacho is great guide, highly recommended. If you wish to spend your vacation with locals and not many tourists, Jambiani is great place to go and enjoy the atmosphere of real Zanzibar ❤️ we THANK everyone in Zanzistar who made our holiday unforgotable!

Guesthouse No. 1 has five different rooms and one apartment in various categories, ideal for singles, couples, and backpackers. This place was beautiful! We loved that it was set back from the beach so it was quiet, yet we had easy access to the ocean and we had a wonderful view of the turquoise waters from our large covered balcony. The balcony was an extension of our huge and pleasant room. A delicious and plentiful breakfast was delivered to our balcony each morning. The owner was very kind! He allowed us to stay extra time, since our taxi wasn't arriving until after check-out time.

Amazing food, friendly stuff, nice location!!! Perfect place for relax! Hotel is built in traditional african style, not modern, but still very cosy. Owners will help you with organisation of anything you will need, so you realy do not have to worry about a thing.

At the homestay, each unit comes with a wardrobe, a TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. Guests can dine in an outdoor dining area at the homestay.

A car rental service is available at the homestay. We loved our stay at Tropicana in Nungwi. It’s a peaceful and comfortable place to relax, with a very calm atmosphere and beautiful outdoor seating areas surrounded by nature. Our room was spacious, the bed was great, and everything felt fresh and well taken care of. The shared kitchen was really convenient to prepare our own meals. The staff were extremely friendly and always available when we needed help with taxis or recommendations. We would happily stay here again.
