We got our room and then the owner ask if we wanted to have a free room upgrade. We got a room at the top with amazing view over the moutains in the valley. Room 301 I recomend you to book. The room are super clean and you got a good blanket that warms you good during the night. Breakfast is perfect, tee or coffe with warm baugette and egg, pankakes and fruit. Can also have noodles if you prefer that. The staff is very nice and the place is spotless. Will be happy to come back again! Thanks!

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire and car hire are available at Mai chau Horizon Homestay. One of the best stays I had in Vietnam. This homestay is located in the ideal spot: you can reach many restaurants and shops by walk, but it is also rightly tucked away from all the noise. I recommend booking the king room with a view very early in advance, they have just one available, but the view from this room was fantastic! One could even open the windows, and the fresh air is really refreshing. Air conditioning worked well (it is needed if you travel from Feb to Oct), the days get quite warm. The private bathroom was good. Breakfast was bread, egg and fruit (banana). This is the standard breakfast that one would get at most of the homestays in Vietnam. I also had dinner here on both days of my stay. The food was excellent, fresh, and did not upset my stomach at all. The owner and the people living here are extremely friendly. Also, I suggest getting a bike on rent from them. That way, you do not need a deposit or passport and also, you could leave the bike back with them at the end. I also booked a bus with them to Ninh Binh, which was awesome and costed me 250k VND, which is lesser than what was being shown to me online. Overall, a great experience. Would definitely return here on my next trip to Mai Chau.

The room was comfy, just enough for the couple which spend just few days. The breakfast was delicious and big enough to fill your belly till the lunch. What I appreciated the most is staff. Communication with them was great, really quick and efficient. Ha and Vinh also arranged the bus to Hanoi and provide plenty information what to do, not just only in Mai Chau but also in Hanoi.

The area is popular for cycling, and free use of bicycles is available at the homestay. Very nice family that run the place. I stayed 5 nights in 2 different rooms. The quad room with large balcony had one of the best mattresses I’ve slept on in Vietnam. The other room (104), also had a good mattress but not quite as soft. The rooms are arranged in a loft layout. The toilet is on the main level and the bed and balcony are up steep stairs within the room. Breakfasts are very good and they provide butter and jam (I find that many places don’t). The village was quiet this time of year (mid-April) during the week but got noisy when a school group arrived. I was also able to park my motorcycle in the lobby. I would stay here again.

Cò’s House is a wonderful place from which to explore Mai Chau and the surrounding areas. Cò was brilliant with me, giving me recommendations for where to go, helping me with scooter hire and generally having friendly conversations. lovely man and a lovely family at Cò’s House. Highly recommend.

We loved the coffee and homegrown herbal tea in the relaxed communal living areas, and our room was charming. But it was also wonderful to be in the midst of village life, enjoying the daily interactions with neighbours in the alleyway. Yes, that means lots of roosters, but Lim provides ear plugs! Basically, she's thought of everything. Say yes to the stunning evening meal made by Lim and her lovely Mum. She also has a huge amount of useful information on her website, including local recommendations and transport options. STAY HERE!
