Everything was great, but the service in particular was outstanding - many thanks to Hilde and Nadine! I mainly stayed here because of the unusual design (I love an old industrial building!) and it did not disappoint on that score. The journey into the city centre was also very easy from SILO; I did it about six times in three days. I chose Basel solely because of its rail connections, but am glad that I took time in the end to explore - it's a wonderful and friendly city.

Set very close to banks of the River Rhine, this designer hostel is next to the old city gate of St. Alban.

It exceeded my expecations. The room is clean, nice and with personal lamp and charging station that do not disturb others. The toilet and bathroom is also comfortable and convenient. There is also an amazing breakfast included. The money is worth the stay and experience.

This is the perfect place if you are staying for a few days, and are out and about during the day and evening. Big room, high ceilings, very clean, good mattress and pillows, and linen. There is a new kitchen with all the amenities, even a coffee machine! New bathroom with shower, cleaned every day. Within easy walk of the main train station and trams/bus.

it was just … a dream! a modest but unforgettable castle experience:) Thomas, the castle manager, was super kind and welcoming. the facilities are practically new - but combined so carefully with the old heart of the castle. the beds are comfortable, there are board games to choose from, and even during the colder months the heating system works great. would recommend a thousand times! (just keep in mind that it requires walking up some flights of stairs to reach the premises) so grateful for this experience ❤️

The single room I booked was comfortable and fine for 1 person. The bed was comfortable. The shared shower & toilet were spotless. Towels provided every day if needing a replacement. The weather was very hot so big fans were provided if wanted. Loved the kitchen/ lounge area too. Very central. Just at the end of the Main Street. WiFi worked perfectly. Would definitely stay again!
