Lots of opportunities to mingle and chat with other guests. Away from the hustle-bustle of the town, but still within walking distance. I am a girl traveling alone and it was the perfect safe stopover for me after a 14 mile hike. Staff was so friendly and helpful. It felt like they really wanted you there and cared about your stay. Hostel was clean and very comfortable. Hostel is about a 10 minute walk outside of Grindelwalds main strip, which gives it the calming charm I was in desperate need of. The staff were incredible helpful, and gave us great suggestions for hikes to do. The room was comfy and the hostel was quiet. The location was great as the bus stop was just outside and we were right next to the train station, which was convenient. The lodge’s restaurant was also good for a quick cheap eat.
