Very comfy and charming hostel very close to the station. The rooms were larger than I expected and the shared bathrooms were spotless. The highlight of the hostel is the freshly homemade bread the owner makes everyday and leaves to the guests for breakfast or an afternoon snack

The hostel was great. It had a very nice common areas, free rental bikes that were alright, the family room was very spacious and nice. And the view of Mt Fuji from the roof was amazing! The hostel isn't located centrally for lake Kawaguchi, however it was only a relatively short bike ride away (around 4.5 km), that wasn't too hilly and definitely possible for most people.

The house is very calm and within walking distance of the lake and the bridge. They offer free bike rental (though there are only a few bikes available), which is great for exploring the area. The common room is very cozy and makes it easy to meet other travelers, and the showers are very nice, with an “onsen-style” feel.

The location was just a 7 minute walk from the main stop of the lake, with lots of street vendors around and beautiful views of Fuji. The staff were kind, check in was very quick and the room we stayed in was so beautiful, like modern, minimalistic Japanese style. The room overlooked beautiful mountains and rice paddies. I would stay here again.
