This is the best and cleanest hostel I have stayed in all of Sri Lanka so far. Nice, big and clean beds and very friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommend this place and will come again for sure!!!!

I arrived at this hostel to spend one night and ended up 4 and leaving was completely heartbroken 🥹❤️‍🩹It is a family hostel where I felt like one of the family, I am very very happy and grateful to have been lucky enough to find such a ✨special ✨place to which I will definitely return and of course recommend, because thanks to the hosts my experience in Sigiriya was spectacular🌄. I spent 2 nights at Elegant elephant and i really enjoyed the place. It's quite, surrounded by nature and the view of the rock from the room is really nice in the morning. The whole place is clean and well maintained. Beds in the room are really comfortable, one of the most comfortable beds in Sri Lanka for me. Owners are also very friendly people, willing to make your stay as good as possible. The food they made for me was absolutely delicious and in big portions. Also, I appreciated the place has WiFi. I recommend this place !

Everything was perfect! It was such a wonderful place to start our trip. The food was absolutely delicious, and the rooms were super comfortable. The bar was such a cozy and fun spot to hang out, and the staff were incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The cooking class is also an absolute must-do and highly recommended. We’ll definitely come back again!

Costha is the most genuine and kind soul I have met in Sri Lanka. He goes out of his way to make you comfortable at his place and takes you to all the local places in the area. He also used to be a tour guide and safari driver so he has extensive knowledge of Sigiriya and the surrounding places. His family is also super welcoming and his mom cooks the best food. It was an honour to stay with Costha’s place. I really liked how cozy and homey the place felt. There is a dorm room and there is a social bar hangout area, all built by Costha himself. You can really feel the vision and the passion he has for the place.

I spent 2 nights at Elegant elephant and i really enjoyed the place. It's quite, surrounded by nature and the view of the rock from the room is really nice in the morning. The whole place is clean and well maintained. Beds in the room are really comfortable, one of the most comfortable beds in Sri Lanka for me. Owners are also very friendly people, willing to make your stay as good as possible. The food they made for me was absolutely delicious and in big portions. Also, I appreciated the place has WiFi. I recommend this place !

Costha is the most genuine and kind soul I have met in Sri Lanka. He goes out of his way to make you comfortable at his place and takes you to all the local places in the area. He also used to be a tour guide and safari driver so he has extensive knowledge of Sigiriya and the surrounding places. His family is also super welcoming and his mom cooks the best food. It was an honour to stay with Costha’s place. I really liked how cozy and homey the place felt. There is a dorm room and there is a social bar hangout area, all built by Costha himself. The common area is very well put together, gives homie-vibes and it's very prone to meet other travelers in the hostel. The staff of the hostel, also, promote a good integration for everybody, organizing certain activities in group that everyone can participate in, like going to the lake, watching sunset in a secret place or doing BBQ Best hostel for backpackers and solo travelers no doubt Ah, and the food is amazing.
