Our stay at Rock Solid Backpackers in Rotorua was awesome! The staff was super nice, and check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the playroom was a great touch. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cookware and cutlery we needed, plus a fridge for storage. Although we only stayed one night, we wished we could have stayed longer—it was such a great experience. We’ll definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rotorua!

This is the best hostel in whole New Zealand. I was living here more than three months and worked in a Restaurant. It was perfect to save money because it is very cheap compared to other hostels around New Zealand. After travelling I had to come back to enjoy the Jacuzzi one more time. I can highly recommend it to everyone. The staff is very polite and can help you fast. So feel free to come to Rotorua. The Crash Palace Hostel is the right choice for you.

The staff are incredibly friendly, and the location is superb—it's easy to get to from the bus stop and is close to the city center. The facilities and rooms are clean and guests enjoy free coffee, tea, and also paper towels! Best of all, it's very reasonably priced. If you're planning a longer stay, be sure to ask the staff about their discount options.

Everything was awesome there! The friendly staff let us check-in a bit earlier and then we could store our luggage after the check-out. The room itself was fun because it was basically like a tiny house with a huge bed and a very clean bathroom. The wifi was ok, the kitchen was fully equipped and the location of that place is great. I have zero complaints and would definitely book with them again!

The hostel is in a very convenient location just a few block from the bus station. I liked the beds as they are on the floor, no top bunks. The room is very spacious with lots of windows for goo ventilation. There is a large well equipped kitchen and a laundry room on site. As with all hostels I stayed in while in New Zealand, nothing is complimentary. No coffee, sugar, soap powder, towel or anything. You will pay a premium for any of these items.
