good value for money, definitely the cheapest option on offer when I visited. it’s a family run building, and Joao was kind enough to pick me up at the bus station with his car! it’s conveniently located, you can walk everywhere, nice view of the city from my room, a big kitchen to cook meals and decent bathroom. Cozy room with lots of natural lights, mattress is not the best but the towels were the softest :)

Pousada de Juventude da Serra da Estrela is inserted in the scenic area of Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The unit is just 10 km from the nearest ski resort.

Very friendly and pleasant staff, room and bathroom were perfectly clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped. The hostel has a cozy flair. The breakfast is also great. In my case, for the price I paid my stay was outstandlingly great, probably the best I've had so far. Highly recommended!
