Such a cool place! Social Garden Hostel has a focus on being an inclusive, friendly and chilled out vibe. You get a really friendly welcome and meet lots of cool people. The beds are clean and comfy and it has good facilities and regular activities etc. I had such a good time here, I definitely want to go back!

The beds and room were very comfortable, the staff was fantastic and very helpful. There was information about things to do in Chiang Rai, how to get there, and easy booking for the slow boat. Breakfast was great and there was fruit and nice tea available all day. Would recommend to anyone coming to Chiang Mai!

The owner is fantastic! We felt like we were staying with our auntie. The rooms are really nice, comfortable and clean! The beds are super comfortAble, the windows have screens so no mosquitoes! We loved everything about our stay. She also helped us with planning a day out. The daytour is a must go! The last day we were picked up late and she said it’s really ok to hang out, we could use the pool and she even made us some mango! It was the best stay for us in Thailand.

We were welcomed by the son of the owner (I guess) and his English was very good. The owner herself is soooo nice, even though we had to communicate through Google translate for more difficult questions she helped us with everything and even took my friend to the laundry place on her scooter. She greeted us with a smile every time we saw her, got us cutlery and dishes when we wanted to eat a mango, etc. 10/10 recommend

A great find in Chiang Rai. Clean, fresh and real welcoming staff. It really is a beautiful hostel. The rooftop wasn’t quite finished whilst we were there, but it will definitely add to the vibe. A short pleasant walk to the centre, passing a few restaurants on the way. Everything is in walking distance. Thanks Ying for a wonderful stay 😊

The staff were amazing with the smile,the recommendations and the guy even went beyond his job and drove me to the terminal so i dont have to walk with my bags! The place itself is really good,one of the best hostels ive been in facilities wise Plus there is a worker(at night a security guard) almost 24/7 which is really convenient!

The best hostel I stayed in during my trip. the design is beautiful, the place is extremely clean, it’s less than a minute from the bus station. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely, trusting and took great care of me. I loved that there are laundry facilities and a cute kitchen and hang out area. I always felt my stuff was safe. Note that there are strict house rules. The hostel also offered some very comprehensive tours of Chiang Mai’s attractions
