Great location - less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. Close to main street and also close to a 24h laundry service, which is really useful. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have listed all the eateries on Google maps and were generally helpful with information. They also spoke excellent English, which is really nice when as a foreigner you don't speak much Chinese. The hostel is quiet and extremely clean - while I'm used to well-cleaned accommodation in Taiwan, this was just extra level. Bathrooms and toilets were especially clean. Dorms were quiet and comfortable. Not too much aircondition that would make it cold, and also not too little which would make it hot or smelly with many people sleeping at the same time. Each bed had a spacious locker (not for a huge backpack, but more than enough for a small/mid-size one and valuables. Also a curtain to give you almost complete privacy, good bed lamp and power sockets. Small but convenient kitchen. Good to have reusable slippers, better for the environment. Hostel also has a café where you can buy coffee and some cakes.
