Das Jugendgästehaus Bad Ischl bietet Unterkünfte in Bad Ischl, 20 km von Hallstatt entfernt. Our room was very spacious, well light and with many outlets. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. We were able to leave to luggage in storage without a problem.

Mit zahlreichen Sportanlagen begrüßt Sie dieses Hostel in Obertraun, in malerischer Lage zwischen dem Hallstätter See und dem Dachsteinmassiv. This is a wonderful location and fine facility to use as a base for exploring Hallstatt and Dachstein-Krippenstein, both of which are just a few minutes drive away. The staff were incredibly friendly (including when we were about 20 minutes late for our check-in and a kind lady stayed late to meet us). Our family of 5 stayed in two rooms, which were large and very clean. They were essentially nice dorm rooms, each with 3 single beds and a private bath. It is a pretty location with nice views of the mountains. We also appreciated the parking available for our rental car. Hallstatt is about a 5 minute drive up the road. Because we were so close, we were able to get to Hallstatt early in the day to find a good parking spot in Park Platz 2 (very near the funicular up to the salt mine) before the crowds arrived.

Am Fuße des Dachsteins, 4 km vom Hallstätter See entfernt begrüßt Sie das Jutel Obertraun. Easy to find, friendly staff, good breakfast (but only from 8-9am), excellent location near Hallstatt and Dachstein, comfy beds. Nice little community areas to hang out or eat. Free parking.
