Clean, comfortable, and quiet. I stayed here on NYE as I prepared to hike the GOW the next day. The hostel is close enough to the main strip to easily walk everywhere but far enough away that everything was quiet when I went to bed at 10pm. Bed was very comfortable and shared bathroom was clean and spacious. I didn't use the kitchen or living space but I noticed how exceptional they were.

The best hostel I’ve stayed in so far!
The owner is extremely kind, the house is just amazing, cute, full of charm and well decorated.
The garden is just perfect.
Unfortunately I stayed only one night but if I return to port fairy I’ll stay in this house for sure!

Very welcoming place, in a perfect location. The kitchen is very equipped, you just need to get something from the market (2 minutes walk). The bar offers different types of beers, a very good variety of pizzas, try it!

Extremely clean, great shared bathroom & showers and the private room was lovely! Air con worked perfectly and bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were lovely and provided chilled water as we checked in which was fantastic!

The YHA is perfect! There were so many quirky bits and pieces around the place to make our stay special, especially the hot water bottles in winter!
The location was great to walk anywhere and facilities were excellent. I wish there were hostels like this when I backpacked 20 years ago!

Lovely spacious rooms, comfy beds. The best hostel showers, even providing shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Lovely little town to wander round with viewpoints close to accommodation.
