The location is lovely and the owner is very kind and friendly. Definitely the best owner hostel that i met before.
My room was very clean, common areas always clean and toilets very clean toom.
I would definitely full recommend this hostel and I will definitely back again.

Host was super lovely and kind, and she even helped us out with our car and gave us recommendations in the area. Place was a little small but it was comfortable enough! Enough toilets and cubicles that you didn't have to wait to get your business done :) will definitely re-visit again!

I stayed there three nights and had a very good experience. Winter is usually a bit cold, but the house is well-heated and warm. I loved the idea of having hot-water bottles in the kitchen for everyone to borrow for the night. The beds are bigger than normal, and extremely comfy. Besides that, the place is very clean, including the bathroom and especially the kitchen.
Some other people wrote in their reviews that this place feels like home, and indeed this was the feeling I immediately got when entering the building. The owner is also very nice, motivated and wants you to have a good stay.

The staff are really nice and helpful, the hostel is well equipped and has a lovely atmosphere. The hostel activities are fun (we saw a platypus!) I would definitely recommend this hostel to young backpackers staying in Hobart.

This was a basic backpackers hostel with friendly staff and lovely young backpackers from around the world travelling Australia. We are two retirees in our mid sixties who had booked one of the new self contained chalets around the back. They were marvelous with clean, comfortabe rooms with fridge, microwave and ensuite. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very impressed.
Swansea Backpackers was in a great location. Only a short walk from the main town and had a good breakfast and dinner option right next door. Our double room was comfortable and clean. The two men who (I assume) run the hostel are friendly.

Beautiful! Best hostel I have ever stayed in. Each bed as a charging station and light next to it and everything is clean and tidy. It really feels like a boutique hotel.
