Larissa was super nice and helped me a lot. The hostel is new, and I think it's going to be an amazing hostel. The kitchen and rooms are nice. The location is perfect. Not even 5 minutes to the center. It's quiet. After check out, I could use the facilities!

Very warm and welcoming pousada. We arrived in the evening and was great to be able to eat dinner at the pousada as we were very tired from 4 days hiking in Vale do Pati. super close to the bus station which was great for our early bus to Salvador. Air con and fan so we were kept cool in summer.

The staff was extremely friendly and kind. Breakfast offers vegetarian options. You can book your trips directly at the hostel with the agency "Diamantina Trip" which is amazing! Can totally recommend it!The hostel is located quite near the bus station and the city centre with its restaurants and bars. I loved my stay. One of the best times I've had during my travels through Brazil!

I stayed here for about a month and really loved every moment of it. Casa das Irmãs is a beautiful, calm, natural, quiet living space with comfortable beds and a very well-stocked communal kitchen. I loved the yoga/recreation space and I really enjoyed taking classes there for affordable and fair prices! Such a beautiful community of women and artists. Every part of the place is also extremely clean and comfortable! I also loved the beautiful trees all around, and it’s super close to a lovely waterfall (princesinha). Walk to town is 15-20 mins but it’s fine and it’s nice to be a bit farther away. There’s a little produce/grocery store right across the way, so it is no issue. I really loved it.

The hosts Barbara and Rodrigo are the coolest and nicest hostel hosts I’ve met. And I did stay st many hostels in the past 20+ years. They are friendly but not intrusive. They are relaxing but when you need help, they are there for you. When my ride didn’t show up for my overnight bus, they volunteered to drive me to the bus station without accepting anything from me! The garden at the hostel is a wonderful place with hammock and chairs/table. You can tell both bathrooms are cleaned regularly as they do live at the same premise. Overall I had a great stay there and would highly recommend this place.

I loved the peaceful and quiet location, away from the village, making it a perfect retreat. The backyard river was an incredible highlight—its cool, refreshing water was a lifesaver on hot days. The staff was super helpful, and the property had a unique charm and great energy. The common area was spacious, with a guitar for guests to play, creating a welcoming and creative atmosphere. The room was comfortable, equipped with a mosquito net, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. Everything I needed was within reach, with shops nearby and motor taxis available for easy transportation (20R to the village). I also hitchhiked, it is very easy.
