A buffet breakfast is served daily. Guests can prepare their meals in the common kitchen facilities. The cheapest market in town is next door. The hostel was very cozy and felt very safe and although every room opens up to a common area it still managed to offer enough privacy for comfort. Despite the constant usage of the facilities by all the guests, the staff at mama Tierra managed to keep the kitchen bathrooms and showers in particular incredibly clean. It was very well run, and of course thanks to the lovely staff it was always a comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. On top of all of this, they offered a very home stay self serve style breakfast, and packed lunches when you left too early to be able to partake. Lastly, when you book a tour (which they can help with, and I can highly recommend) they will knock at your door when it’s time to set off, which is very welcome for some of the earlier tours. As a testament to how far they will help you, we saw one of the staff, when we left today, wait and attempt to wake up a guest, who most definitely had overslept, over a period of almost 10 minutes to help him get to his tour, and not lose out. I highly doubt most hotels would go to such lengths to aid their guests. To sum up I can whole heartedly recommend mama Tierra for those looking for a moderately budget friendly and very comfortable stay in basically the heart of San Pedro.

He also gave good advice about tours. In addition, when we needed to print documents for the Bolivian visa, he helped us print it at no additional charge. Senor Saul was definitely one or the most helpful hotel managers/staff that I've met.

Laundry facilities are offered at Hostal Casa Turipite. Guests can relax after a long day of exploring in the hostel’s shared lounge. The staff were amazing and really helpful, breakfast was good with bread, tea, coffee, yogurt, milk, cereal, salami, ham and cheese. About a 10min walk from town which we didn't mind and meant the accomodation was really peaceful and quiet. They let us stay there after checkout for a few hours while we waited for our overnight bus.

The staff were super friendly, our plans changed last minute due to unforseen weather conditions and they were very understanding and willing to help us out. Our room had a heater which was great for the cold winter nights. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was quite good, and they packed some breakfast to go on the days we had to leave early for a tour. Would definitely stay here again!

The hostel is 1.1 km from both R.P. Gustavo Le Paige Archeological Museum and Inca House. Mrs. Elvira, who attended to us, was very sweet and attentive, always in a good mood and with a smile on her face. Although it is located far from the town's center, the hotel is like a refuge, there is not much movement and it is very peaceful. It is possible to rent bicycles to go faster to the town centre, although we didn't rent one, we went on foot. They seemed to be doing some work to improve the space, but more improvements were needed in the surroundings. The street needed to be significantly improved, but it's not the hotel's fault. I highly recommend it if you want to spend a few days, there is parking for your car. TIP for travellers: San Pedro de Atacama seems to be a calm place, there is a lot to see and getting around by car seems to be a much more pleasant option than rushing around on tours. Shower water is hot during the day, and at night it takes a little longer to heat up. Self-service breakfast and complete. Elvira kindly prepared the table for us each morning.

The hostel is located in a tranquil area right next to a grocery store. Gustavo Le Paige museum is a 5-minute walk away. Calama Airport is approximately a 1-hour drive away. Shuttle services can be arranged for an extra fee. What a fantastic place to stay in for a trip around the Atacama Andes. Rodrigo and the rest of the staff were helpful, friendly, and made my time in San Pedro worth every minute. The communication was especially excellent, with information being provided quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend staying here, and will choose to stay here again if I should be lucky enough to travel back to San Pedro.

It is lass than 100 meters from Caracoles, the main street, and the rooms and services are very good at a very attractive price. Florencia is a differential from the hostal, making every interaction with the employees just perfect. Also the owners are very nice and kindness, always ready for help and provide assistance when needed. Despite you can not bring visitors inside the hostal, there is many great common areas that you can enjoy with the others guests - as a very good kitchen with teas, coffee and free coca leafs. The cleaness are very good dispite everything is very simple. Super recommend this place and also I will be back again as an guest anytime I visit Atacama. Thank you for everything!
