The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hostal is walking distance from the main plaza and other attractions. Very peaceful atmosphere and beautiful small garden. We planned to stay here 2 nights but extended to stay two more nights.

We had a perfect time in Otavalo and espacially in the Hotel El geranio. Jannet and her Family were very friendly and helpful planing Tours from Otavalo. The bed was super comfortable and really beautiful crisp white cotton sheets The manager was really helpful and friendly, she booked appointments in town for me for beauty treatments, which I was super satisfied with, I felt I could turn to her for anything I needed and she’d get it done. I chose to spend my birthday here and had a room with a mountain view :) I unfortunately didn’t have the time to use the facilities, the spa or the jacuzzi in my room

Two nights stay in the town of Cotacachi during Inti Raymi was magnificent. The hostel, combined with a brewery, was our home from home, just seven minutes walk from the plaza. Comfortable, secure, with an outdoor common area to relax and enjoy the cats and dogs, and the beer. Our room was big with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed many conversations with Roger and Melena, both so helpful. We should have stayed longer.
