Dorm room was relatively spacious and bathrooms were clean. Food was decent which was good since theres not a lot of options nearby.

Ambleside village is a 10-minute walk from the YHA hostel. It has a selection of quaint tea rooms, artisan shops and country pubs. I had a wonderful experience staying at YHA Ambleside. The hostel is well-maintained, with very clean bathrooms and toilets, which made the stay comfortable. The rooms were spotless, and the bunk beds were sturdy and comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest after exploring the Lake District. There’s also a bar and hotel attached to the property, which serves delicious food and a nice variety of drinks — a great spot to unwind in the evening while enjoying the lakeside views. Overall, YHA Ambleside offers excellent value for money with a friendly atmosphere, clean facilities, and great food options nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

The cleanliness of the place is remarkable, the kitchen and kitchenette, bathrooms and showers, the reading and dining area and finally the room. Fresh white sheets and comfy mattress. Super friendly staff! There is a free of charge washer and dryer in the drying room in the basement. Amazing!

The majority of rooms contain bunk beds. Everything is great, location is stunning, room is nice, people are very nice, breakfast is decent. It is nice to sit in the hall, drink tea or beer and plan your day. Kitchen is alright, the hostel has labeled food boxes, fridges, sharp knives, stoves (which are a bit hard to use for stupid people like myself).
