Besides the hotel the hosts are working on a project for the benefit of the local community (including a French language school for kids, regular clean up activities, ...) - both have a very inspiring energy!:) The place itself is very nice and comfy, with a great rooftop terrace where a small, but very delicious breakfast is served at an extra cost.

A big shout-out to Juan Carlos, Mike, Bryan, and Jeaneth for going above and beyond to make my stay truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the excellent service stood out. The entire team is incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring that every guest feels right at home. Their friendliness and dedication shine through in every interaction. The hostel itself is cozy and comfortable, providing a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. It's an ideal spot for both adventure seekers and those who prefer a laid-back vacation. The on-site restaurant is another highlight. With a setting that's both nice and cozy, it's perfect for enjoying a meal at any time of day. The food is delicious, with a range of options to satisfy any palate. One of the standout features of Los Amigos is their travel agency. It adds an extra layer of convenience for guests looking to explore the area. Whether you want to book a shuttle bus or embark on an exciting activity, everything is made easy and hassle-free. Situé à Flores, l’établissement Hotel Petén Express comprend une terrasse et un bar. Les dortoirs étaient bien équipés. Chaque lit avait une lumière et un prise. Les sanitaires étaient propres et assez nombreux. L'hôtel dispose de 2 petites piscines l'une couverte, l'autre avec vue sur le lac et bar pieds dans l'eau. Les prestations étaient vraiment bonnes au vu du prix, j'y ai passé un très bon moment.

Airline screwed up my flight, but the staff was soooo awesome. They went above and beyond to help me get it sorted, even driving me around and talking to airline and bus employees since my Spanish isn't very good. The place is also really cool, and in a great location.
