Die Unterkunft Baron's Hostel ist gut gelegen in Reykjavík und bietet einen Garten, kostenloses WLAN und eine Gemeinschaftslounge. It was my first time staying at a hostel and it made me want to go to hostels more often. The location is great, just a couple of minutes away from the church and about 15-20 minutes from BSI (which honestly, if you don't have heavy luggage you can do it in about 10 minutes and the road is really easy to follow). The receptionist was nice, asked me if I'd like a top or bunk bed which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were spacious even though there were 8 of us there, but the mattresses were hard, which for me was a con, but not entirely uncomfortable. The facilities were really clean even throughout the night which I appreciated, the bathrooms were nice, there was enough space to change in, The common kitchen/area was really beautiful and you could see the church from it, there was complimentary tea and coffee, even condiments left from previous tenants as a way to help fellow travellers. Would book again.

The owner is a Filipina with that said, a place is like a home a sense of hospitality … it’s very organized all the appliances in the kitchen from second floor to downstairs are free and available to use .. the bedding are fresh the toilet are squeaky clean … the staff are great and the reception is there they’re all willing to give help and suggestions… they have a strict rules in the house “clean as you go” and one guests to another follow this rule which is very good …

The Hostel is very central, Reykjavik Center is very near by foot (not even 10 minutes), the hostel in itself is modern, nicely decorated, calm, had a fantastic kitchen and the staff was really nice! The beds were super comfortable, we love that there was a sink inside the room, making things as skincare or brushing the teeth more private and it’s nicely separated from the beds with furniture in the middle. 5 points for the window blackouts as well, since at this time of the year it’s important to have darkness in the room at night. Showers/WC were very nice and private. Lovely stay! 😊

Located 3.5 km from Reykjavik city centre, this eco-certified hostel is beside the geothermally heated Laugardalslaug Swimming Pool. I really enjoyed it. Everything was great😍🫶
