Normally, when you think about a hostel, you imagine noise, alcohol, dirt, and discomfort. But here it felt like we just came to visit friends or family. Katja, the owner, has been running this place for many years, and she created it in memory of her grandmother, Mamma Minka. You can literally feel that love in every single detail — every note on the wall, every corner. It’s all filled with warmth, memories, and respect for her grandmother. And I have to mention the cleanliness: it’s absolutely spotless. You can walk barefoot everywhere, not a single hair, not a speck of dust. For those who are super picky about cleanliness — relax, this place is perfect. The energy of this hostel is incredible. Breakfast is made with love, and Katja herself is amazing — she gave us great advice on where to go, what to see, and shared stories that made us feel so welcome. At first, we chose this hostel because other options were too expensive. But now, after staying here, we know that even if we have plenty of other choices next time, we will definitely come back to Katja’s.
