I was travelling over 2 weeks, skiing in the day and working in the evening thanks to the 9 hour time difference.
The location is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop to get up to the Grand Hirafu Welcome centre and the Ace Gondola so close enough to everything you need, but in a quiet side street.
Facilities are excellent, including the washer dryer, this is the first ski trip I am not taking home dirty laundry!
The room was excellent, clean and comfortable, and once I had got used to the Japanese heating systems in the property I had a very comfortable stay.
Kutchan has some great bars and restuarants, and the prices are much better than in the main resorts of Niseko.

I loved everything about the place! Nice location, as it's close to the train station, a convenience store, and a supermarket. There's also a small (and very affordable) ski resort nearby that is perfect for beginner skiers/snowboarders who want to do some practice runs before trying the pricier resorts in Niseko. The place was kept clean by the host (Ryo-san), who was simply great. He made the atmosphere so relaxed and welcoming for everyone that it didn't feel like I was among strangers. Wouldn't hesitate to book this place again if I'm ever back in the area.

Staff (Kana-san and Suke-san) were amazing. Clean and comfortable, could be some noise due to the nature of the dorm room. Shuttle bus pick up (8 and 9am) was great. Convenient buses to supermarket or into town. Well stocked kitchen if you intend on cooking.
Located a 10-minute bus ride from JR Kutchan Railway Station, My Ecolodge offers simple yet cosy rooms with free WiFi.

The location was exceptional. Very close from the Hirafu ski center.
They dropped me off at kutchan station when I left the hostel.

We feel so lucky to have stayed at Janine’s newly renovated property, and we wish we could have stayed longer. So welcoming, and so helpful when we were navigating the different ski resorts of Niseko. If you have the chance you must arrange with her for dinner, nothing beats her home-cooked food after a long day on the slopes.

We LOVED this hostel! The staff were very nice, we were a 3 min walk from the mountain and shuttle to other ski areas. Good price for the area. The kitchen was fully stocked. There were cheap snacks to purchase in the front which was nice because there isn’t food nearby. There was a room to wax your gear. The showers were super AMAZING! There is also an Onsen a 5 minute walk away for 1000 yen. The lounge was very comfortable with a good vibe allowing us to make friends with a lot of awesome guests!

The premises is a hostel that caters for skiers during Winter. We had the tatami beds in a private room and if we can cope aged 57 and 60 anybody can!
It was the cheapest we could find but we enjoyed, aside from the cold showers, but it was cheap in comparison 😀
1. The hostel manages individual space pretty well. You have a draw to put your clothes in, a basket for putting your food in the kitchen and also the refrigerator.
2. The bed is comfortable and warm.
3. Having a big parking place for people drive the car

The house is beautiful and cosy feeling and Ryo keeps the whole place super clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy and rooms were well heated. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped with all you need.
The location was good, near to the JR Kutchan station, a supermarket and a 7-11. Ryo also provides daily morning shuttle to Hirafu, which is highly appreciated.
Most remarkably Ryo is a friendly and helpful host, and a wonderful cook too :)
This is one of the best hostel we have stayed in!
