Very convenient location, probably the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at. It was simply decorated and modern, and had a peaceful atmosphere. The room might feel a bit small but was perfectly adequate for one night. The host was very responsive, and let me store my luggage before/after my stay. Would recommend!

The property was very nice and the aircon was cool…. I ate dinner in the little lounge area which was nice and I had some time to write on the balcony in the morning… definitely enjoyed my stay and was very thankful that the lady that was working was nice to me when I got there so late

Walking distance to Nirasaki Station. Mountain inspired interior design which suits us a lot as we just came down from Mt. Utsugi and going to climb Kai-Komagatake the day after. Clean, great kitchen area.

The owner is a super nice guy, he goes pick you up at the station and gives you all the tips you need. The room had a perfect view to the Mt.Fuji that unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see (cloudy day). We walked around the lake and went to one of the best restaurant of our trip - HOUTO recommended by Michi

Friendly staff. Check-in was a breeze. Property located some 10 mins or slightly more away from the train station by foot. Neighbourhood is very quiet. The hostel has a barn style like design and the ambience is very homey and cosy. A big lounge area and outdoor patio for one to relax and mingle. There is a bar and cafe but was closed during my stay. Kitchen is well equipped. Use of washing machine is free. But there is no dryer. There are adequate shower stalls and toilets Despite full house during my stay, I never had to wait to use either. Wifi connection is strong. Lawson and 711 are very near the train station. Family mart is some mins walk away in the direction of the lake from the property. My room is modern minimalistic and comes with a fridge and TV, albeit only japanese channels. Bed is very comfortable and duvet is super fluffy and warm. There is also a desk by the window. The best thing is, the window has a perfect view of Mt Fuji. For 2 days I saw Mt Fuji in it's full glory.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hachi Hostel from February 22nd to 23rd, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The tatami-style room was cozy and authentic, offering a true taste of Japanese culture. The highlight of the room was undoubtedly the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji right outside the window—it was like waking up to a postcard every morning. The hostel's location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. The atmosphere at Hachi is relaxed and welcoming, with a unique charm that makes you feel right at home. The shared facilities were clean, well-maintained, and very practical for travelers. What truly stood out, though, was the kindness of the owner. They went above and beyond to assist us during our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our trip even more special. I highly recommend Hachi Hostel to anyone visiting the area. Whether you're a solo traveler or with friends, this place offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and unforgettable views. I can't wait to return!

The owner of the hostel is amazing and super knowledgeable about the area. Came as a solo traveller and he gave me a list of 6-8 different things to do during my one full day here. He also picks you up and drops you off to the station which is super helpful.

The design was fantastic. Whilst we had bunk beds there was so much more room for luggage and table/chairs. The bathrooms whilst shared were fantastic and the showers were self contained. Says it’s a hostel but we would stay in this again over the hotels we have been staying in.

The hostel was just beautiful! Extremely clean, bright and the room was spacious. The whole time it smelled like fresh cooked bread which was also delicious. The bikes were a bit tired but got us around the lake safely. Not a hostel to meet other travellers just a cosy home stay. Letting us leave our luggage all day was also a great perk!

Great value for money. The room was big for one person, with two beds (I guest I would have preferred a double/queen bed). The beds are comfy and they provided foam earplugs. Great location in Fujiyoshima, just right on Honcho St. where you can see a great view of Fuji (on a clear day!) Shared bathrooms were clean. It was a very aesthetically pleasing hostel.

This is the best hostel I have stayed in. Very quiet, spotless clean, friendly owner, free snacks and bikes, good location and an awesome terasse on the roof with artificial grass and snuggly hammocks and chairs and a breathtaking view of Fuji

It has been one of the best hostels I’ve stayed. They really care about the guests and you can see it with the beds: a lot of space, curtains… Also it’s amazing to be able to see the Mount Fuji from almost every spot in the hostel. The kitchen has literally everything you need and it’s so clean. The common area is big and comfy also. I recommend it 100%!!!
