The location is perfect - you’re right in the middle of everything in Abay but it’s in a green environment. The guys that run the place are so friendly and welcoming. Rizmi will do whatever he can to make your stay great, whether it’s a surf, a ride or a party :)

It had only just opened its doors and we were met with the warmest welcome from the manager who couldn’t do enough for us. Always went out of his way to accommodate us - sharing extra phone data with us, allowing late check - out due to work commitments, updating us to the air-con room because the fan room was under renovations but with no extra charge.
We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so so much

A superb inn, clean and well-maintained. The garden is very pleasant and the breakfasts are delicious. The best part: the staff. They're all adorable, smiling and warm.
If I come back to arugam bay I'll choose Early Birds without hesitation.

Super relaxing and cute vibe with really nice and clean dorms. Comfy beds and pillows! The hostel is centrally located and it takes only a short walk to get to restaurants, shops, supermarkets, the beach and a bike rental. Thank you to the Lost Hostel Crew, you‘re amazing!

The best beach view hostel in Arugam Bay. Direct sea view room with balcony and hammock. Friendly staff and quick services. Wonderful restaurant services and you provided tasty foods (Breakfast, Juices, Dinner). The welcome drink was delicious. Good speed WiFi connection. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Comfy bed. We used bathroom toilet paper and soap. Nice location and Value for the stay.

Social hostel, layed back and also very friendly.
Harold was very helpful and attentive for anything asked upon and I greatly appreciated it.

wow! the wave loom hostel was one of the most cosy, familiar hostels i've ever stayed in. i only intended to stay for 2 days, but ended up staying for 6 - too good to leave. hansi, adam & co. were soooo caring and loving to create the best possible stay for all their guests. they know all their guests by name, help plan all activities and transport options, have the best surf instructor at the start - and on top of that they so lovingly provided me with medicine and tea when I felt sick. the rooms are super clean, cleaned every day, the bathroom is simple but clean (a little tip: a shelf to put your clothes and toiletry bag on while showering would be a gamechanger, hehe) there is air conditioning and a chilled common area - a great place to meet people from all over the world! the location is also great... so close to the beach and all the cute cafes, bars, boutiques and restaurants. great vibe!!! i would definitely come back! THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️

The location is perfect: close to the beach and the main road but not directly on the main road which makes it a lot more quiet. The rooms were nice and clean and the AC worked very well. Only 2 bathrooms but one was always free since the hostel wasn’t that big and the bathrooms are clean as well. Staff is really nice and the outside area is beautiful and perfect to chill and meet people.
It is a bit misleading on Booking.com but there is NO BREAKFAST available.
I stayed in the 8 bed hostel dorm room and it was great. The managers of the hostel are really friendly and helpful. The staff kept the room and bathrooms clean. Bed was comfortable and a towel was provided. Perfect location!! Next to the beach, bars, and restaurants.

I stayed at shine Rise Hostel for a couple of weeks whilst in Arugam Bay and I loved it!
The staff are super friendly and went out of their way to
help, the hostel was always clean and tidy, beds were comfy towels soft and I made some lovely friends in the chill out areas. The place was on the beach and there have wonderful bar also
Location is great
We look forward to visit again this place

I originally came from lost hostels in weligama and was incredibly excited to stay at lost in Arugam bay. The team here is sooooo great!! I continue to extend because I don’t want to leave anytime soon. Thank you to the entire team at lost for making this place feel so welcoming! Cannot recommend enough!!!
