The property has a great location that’s central to town but in a quiet street. The room and bed were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is clean as well. Rinas was so helpful while I was in a stressful situation with my shuttle never arriving. He found another ride for me last minute and saved the day. 10/10 would recommend!

You have your peace and quiet when you want it.

So, me and 2 of my friends were travelling for a long weekend getaway and you won't believe the hospitality and the perfection of this property. Truly something to be rewarded and justified! Me and my friends had quite a dilemma when we were booking the place for our trip. But, man oh man did it turn out well! So, our booking was from Saturday to Monday which means Saturday check in, Saturday night, Sunday night - Monday check out. Now, this weekend was a long weekend and everyone was travelling. We are locals travelling from Colombo to Arugam Bay and we didn't have transportation sorted out for us. Our vehicles were being used over the weekend and we had to use the public transport. There is no train to Arugam Bay from Colombo as far as we researched but there are buses. The buses were booked too. We somehow managed to get seats. The buses operate at night which means you board in Colombo around 7 PM and you land in Arugam Bay at around 4 - 4:30 AM. This is the daily route for the bus. So, if we want to get there Saturday - we must get there Saturday early morning at 4. We just booked that bus and we were on our way to Arugam Bay Friday night So, it all starts with the host. Since, I booked and my number is on the booking. I got a call from a random number. I didn't answer cause I was travelling and my phone was on silent. It seems like I had missed calls from the same number. I just ignored it and kept travelling. After a while of listening to music, I just got an instinct to call this number (a good gut feeling). I called and it was a nice gentleman named 'Roshan' from the hostel and he was asking me what time I will arrive. I told him around 4. He asked me if I am coming by bus or train (seems like trains operate) haha. I said bus and he said, " 'NO PROBLEM. ONCE YOU ARRIVE, JUST COME IN TO THE HOSTEL AND SLEEP ON YOUR BEDS.

Situé à Baie d'Arugam, l’établissement Wave Loom Hostel comprend un jardin, un salon commun, une terrasse et un restaurant. wow! the wave loom hostel was one of the most cosy, familiar hostels i've ever stayed in. i only intended to stay for 2 days, but ended up staying for 6 - too good to leave. hansi, adam & co. were soooo caring and loving to create the best possible stay for all their guests. they know all their guests by name, help plan all activities and transport options, have the best surf instructor at the start - and on top of that they so lovingly provided me with medicine and tea when I felt sick. the rooms are super clean, cleaned every day, the bathroom is simple but clean (a little tip: a shelf to put your clothes and toiletry bag on while showering would be a gamechanger, hehe) there is air conditioning and a chilled common area - a great place to meet people from all over the world! the location is also great... so close to the beach and all the cute cafes, bars, boutiques and restaurants. great vibe!!! i would definitely come back! THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️

L’établissement Aura surf camp & Hostel vous accueille à Baie d'Arugam, à respectivement 7,2 km et 18 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Elephant Rock et Magul Maha Viharaya. It had only just opened its doors and we were met with the warmest welcome from the manager who couldn’t do enough for us. Always went out of his way to accommodate us - sharing extra phone data with us, allowing late check - out due to work commitments, updating us to the air-con room because the fan room was under renovations but with no extra charge. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so so much

Breakfast changes every morning and is always nice. Comes with a fresh smoothie. Bit of a walk from the main street but very close to the beach

I originally came from lost hostels in weligama and was incredibly excited to stay at lost in Arugam bay. The team here is sooooo great!! I continue to extend because I don’t want to leave anytime soon. Thank you to the entire team at lost for making this place feel so welcoming! Cannot recommend enough!!!
