Even though I was traveling alone, I ended up spending every day having fun with someone. There were lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, and tourist spots within walking distance, which was super convenient. The environment was so nice that it actually made me want to live there!

At the hostel, the rooms include a desk and a balcony with a mountain view. Featuring a shared bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Backpackers Hostel also feature a city view. All rooms have a safety deposit box. I must say that this was the ideal location that I've been looking for a long time. this location is close to the city and many attractions. Further service is really good and had many books for reading too. no noise after 5 and you'll feel like your in the middle of no where with peace around you. recommend.

This was the best hostel we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! We met so many friends here and continued travelling with them. The staff were wonderful and made it very easy for us to plan activities and socialise with other people. The dorms are clean, beds have curtains, the shower has warm water, the breakfasts were delicious and the hostel’s location is superb! The staff are very friendly and really look out for you! Someone in our group left a camera behind (which we only noticed once they told us) and they organised to transport it to Negombo for us at almost no cost!

I absolutely loved this hostel, its location is so peaceful and I spent most of my days just watching the rice paddy workers and hanging out. So much nicer than being in Ella itself and the walk in was beautiful, definitely worth the slight inconvenience. Also free breakfast and dinner! Allowed you to do own laundry for 200 rupees only.

He was kind enough to pick me from railway station as the property was slightly away from Ella town. He also took me around to a few places nearby since the Tuk Tuks werent that reliable. The guesthouse was one of my favorites in Sri Lanka. It had a very homey feel to it. I loved spending time on the Hammock while the sunsets. They went out of their way to prepare Parota and Potato Veggies since I mentioned that I didnt want to eat Kottu or Hoppers. Shoutout to Mangala for giving me company and sharing more about Sri Lanka.
