We had the private double room over the kitchen and it had everything we could have needed. It was quiet, clean, and one of the best places we’ve stayed on our CA trip so far. The host was lovely and friendly, laundry was done super quickly. One minor comment was that we would have loved it if the kitchen had a toaster and kettle.

Situated in San Juan del Sur and with Christ of the Mercy Nicaragua reachable within 4.6 km, Casa de Olas - Eco Rustic Hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. If you want to relax then this is the best place you can stay. Best hostel in Central America for us! Super affordable too. We tried staying in town and came back after 2 nights haha

At the hostel, every room is equipped with a patio with a garden view. All units at Sophie House are equipped with a private bathroom and bed linen. It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!
