Amazing hostel - very clean (maybe the clenaest hostel I've seen in my travels) and well taken care of all faciltiies..Shared Kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms were a bit old ashioned but very clean. They have laundry possibilities and the rooms have heaters (well needed when it's winter in NZ).

Buried Village is 15 km from the hostel and Tikitere - Hell's Gate Thermal Park is 17 km away. Great location, the lady who greeted us was absolutely lovely and very helpful during our stay. The room was small but we didn't mind that. The mattresses were comfortable and there was a little table and chair which came in handy. The bathrooms and kitchen were always kept very clean and we felt safe staying there. And also great value for money.

Children are permitted to stay at Rotorua Central Backpackers but must be accompanied by an adult and either stay in a private room or a privatised dorm. An accompanying adult, staying in the hostel at the same time, can provide consent for a child to stay in a private room alone. Centrally located and reasonably priced, this is a good place to stay for a night or two if you are looking for a budget-friensky option in Rotorua.
